LIM Week 67, Not one, not two but THREE

Evening all...

How are we?

A very quick post from me tonight, my entry for this weeks Less Is More.

I have to admit I really struggled with this weeks challenge...use 3 stamps!  I really had no inspiration to start with and then I had an idea...

All this and I only used three stamps! Amazing!

Thank you for stopping by - please feel free to leave me your comments, they are always appreciated.

CFC52 - Feathered Friends...

Evening all...

What a lovely day its been today - typical after I've been off all week with typical English weather, the day before I go back to work its glorious! Oh well... I mustn't complain to much!

I feel quite proud of myself this week I've made a good dent into my to do list - only two things I didn't cross off, and also I've done a fair bit to the wedding invitations too.

I had just enough time today to make my entry for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays -  as soon as I saw this weeks theme - I knew exactly what to do...

I think "Tweet Talk" from Papertrey Ink may have to be one of my new favourites.  The card I've made is extremely CAS - just how I like it!

I used paper from Pink Petticoat for the bird body - Liz really can do know wrong in my book (she's just released a set of stunning sentiments I can't wait to get my hands on) I used true black ink and the sentiment from the Tag-it series - I finished it off with some simple baby pink satin ribbon - CLEAN AND SIMPLE.

What do you think?

That's it from me tonight - as promised, I'm leaving you with some pictures from the wedding invites I've been making.

LIM- Week 66 - Yellow

Morning all...

Hope everyone is having a nice week!

Im making the most of my time off trying to tick bits and bobs off my to do list as well as getting on with some more wedding invitations! (I promise to show you them at some point this week!)

Today I wanted to share with you my entry for this weeks Less Is More Challenge.  Being the first week of the month the theme falls to a colour and this month it is YELLOW.  I have to admit I do over look yellow apart from at Easter time so it was a nice challenge for me to take part in.

Over the bank holiday weekend I had my new delivery of Papertrey Ink goodies and there was one thing I couldn't wait to arrive.  I have been envious of the Rosie Posie stamp set since it came out - but I was too scared to order it as I thought it was going to be too hard for me to use.  I'm constantly seeing beautiful images created by some very talented people using this set and last month I decided to just bit the bullet and buy it.  Im so glad I did, as it was perfect for this weeks challenge.

I teamed it with my new Lemon Tart ink and used a number of different yellow promarkers to accent and give definition to the petals.  I stamped it along with fillable frame number 1 and a sentiment from the same set.  I used soft grey ink for the sentiment as I thought black would be too harsh with the pale yellow.  I finished the card off with some paper from my new favourite chevron designs from Liz at Pink Petticoat.  I can't get enough of them.

Thats it from me today folks - thank you for stopping by and taking time to read my ramblings.

I'll see you later in the week!

Time to Celebrate - CFC51

Hello me again...

As I promised I'm back with my entry for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays Challenge.  This week they are celebrating their 1st Birthday.  Its been so nice to take part this - I've missed the last couple due to my work load.

I had an idea that didn't quite work out...I wanted something bright and colourful - something that suggested "CELEBRATION" I think this just about does the trick!

Card Ingredients:

Versa Mark Ink - Royal Blue, Turquoise, Cardinal Red, Orange, Lime and Pale Yellow
Papertrey Ink - "Celebration' from Think Big Favourites number 13, Kraft card, Orange Zest and Simply Chartreuse
Ribbon Girl - Navy Blue Bakers Twine

Love you forever...

Evening all...

How have you all been!?

I meant to blog yesterday but just ran out of time.

I've been making quite a dent in my to do list that I posted on Saturday, so I thought I'd share a couple of things with you tonight!

Sunday saw me celebrate my 5 year anniversary with Adam.   I always really enjoy making cards for him - I think  a handmade card shows how much that person means to you!

I knew I wanted to be slightly soppy - hence the sentiment but also slightly manly hence the chevrons! These arrived on Saturday - Chevrons and rounded corners seem to be my favourite at the moment.

To celebrate I was treated to a day at the zoo and a nice meal - I thought I'd share a few pictures from my day with you too...

I'll be back shortly to share with you this weeks CAS-ual Friday challenge entry.

Thank you for reading.

I'm Back...With a Less Is More Challenge entry!

Evening all...

Remember me! Yes I know it's been what seems like a lifetime since I last blogged, I've really missed you guys.  I have missed taking part in weekly challenges soooo much but I just haven't had the time in between work and wedding invites, there just hasn't been enough hours in the day.

But I wanted to share with you a card tonight which I'm entering into this weeks Less Is More Challenge. This week the challenge was to create something using a sketch.

I absolutely love this simplicity of this sketch - its so me!!

It just so happened to tie in with a Grandads Birthday - (I know I'm getting a bit keen on all these man cards!)

I chose Papertrey Ink's Garden Variety (I can't wait for my new Papertrey parcel to arrive this weekend :) I carefully inked the tools' handles in Classic Kraft and the metal parts in pale grey.  I seem to have a thing for rounded corners at the minute- they seem to finish a card of nicely - something different  from the norm!  I finished the card off with a Pinefeather button, good old button twine and a double banner- layered slightly off to show a flash of green - the sentiment was stamped from fillable frames number 4 using dark chocolate ink!

So what do you think? I would love to hear what you all think!

Thank you very much for taking time to read my ramblings!  I promise I won't leave it so long next time! :)

Take Care
