I'm Back...With a Less Is More Challenge entry!

Evening all...

Remember me! Yes I know it's been what seems like a lifetime since I last blogged, I've really missed you guys.  I have missed taking part in weekly challenges soooo much but I just haven't had the time in between work and wedding invites, there just hasn't been enough hours in the day.

But I wanted to share with you a card tonight which I'm entering into this weeks Less Is More Challenge. This week the challenge was to create something using a sketch.

I absolutely love this simplicity of this sketch - its so me!!

It just so happened to tie in with a Grandads Birthday - (I know I'm getting a bit keen on all these man cards!)

I chose Papertrey Ink's Garden Variety (I can't wait for my new Papertrey parcel to arrive this weekend :) I carefully inked the tools' handles in Classic Kraft and the metal parts in pale grey.  I seem to have a thing for rounded corners at the minute- they seem to finish a card of nicely - something different  from the norm!  I finished the card off with a Pinefeather button, good old button twine and a double banner- layered slightly off to show a flash of green - the sentiment was stamped from fillable frames number 4 using dark chocolate ink!

So what do you think? I would love to hear what you all think!

Thank you very much for taking time to read my ramblings!  I promise I won't leave it so long next time! :)

Three Shades of Green

Afternoon all...

Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend!

I've definitely enjoyed having some craft time, it's been a while.  I've even had time to enter some challenges.

So today i'm sharing with you a card I've made for the "Less Is More" Challenge.

Three Shades of Green.

I've been dying to use this Harvest Berries stamp set ever since it arrived and this was the perfect opportunity!  I stamped it in New Leaf (green number 1) and then stamped the sentiment from Pretty Peonies in Pinefeather (green number 2) I finished it off by mounting it on Simply Chartreuse (green number 3) before attaching it to my kraft card base!
What do you think?
Im off to fit some more crafting in before work tomorrow!

Im also entering here into this weeks CAS-Friday Challenge!

She's so cute! Got to love those pink glittery ears!!

Happy Easter :) (and CFC47)

Evening all...

Hope you've all had an eggcellent day! (sorry!)

Just wanted to quickly share with you the cards I'd made using the teaser picture in my last post. I'd like to introduce you to Eggburt!!

I knew as soon as I saw this release from Papertrey Ink I had to have them! After die cutting them from card and stamping them with the "Scrambled Egg" set I coloured him using relevant Promarkers.  For Eggburt I stamped the same image on to patterned paper and cut around the shell and stuck it to the yellow card. (It seems he's in touch with his feminine side!)

I'm entering this into this weeks CAS- Fridays blog Challenge.

Easter Blooms

Hello Everyone!

Sorry its been a while since my last post! The days seem to be flying by before I'm getting anything done! I haven't entered a challenge for two weeks and I haven't had really any chance to sit down and make anything! Sorry!

How is everyone enjoying the long weekend?  I'm spending it making wedding invitations! Its a long process but I think I am nearly done cutting everything just need to start the process of putting everything together! What are you all up to this weekend?

I managed to squeeze in some Easter cards this week.  I have completely fallen in love with the Wild Roses paper collection from Pink Petticoat! I chose three shades of yellow and stitched round the edge to attach to my card base.  I'm a big fan of cards you can make in bulk and this simple design was perfect for doing just that! I also used the new "Tiny Easter Sentiments" PP.  I finished it all off with some kraft flowers cut from Papertrey Inks Beautiful Blooms 2!

I'll be back sometime over the weekend with some other Easter treats I made - for the meantime its back to the invitations! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
